From Portland, Oregon come the ethereal vibrations of Taurus and their 2012 debut Life, an abstractly painted soundscape that can be summed up as subsonic Doom Metal heavily mixed with Psychedelia and Drone. Life is comprised of only two people, drummer Ashley and guitarist/vocalist Stevie Floyd and two tracks, 'Part 1' and 'Part II,' and while both span an average of 15 minutes each, individual track essence is felt throughout. The pair creates a claustrophobic atmosphere via living-breathing hallucinations and a slow-rising undertone of echoes creepily voiced by Floyd. Taurus have created a complicated forest-bound acid trip.
