Description
The TWO SIDES OF JOHN LEYTON autographed LP HMV 1961 rare MEEK RGM in superb EX+ condition.
This auction is for:
a SUPERB condition - AUTOGRAPHED - JOHN LEYTON LP entitled THE TWO SIDES OF JOHN LEYTON released in the UK in MONO on HMV CLP 1497 in 1961. The LP is autographed by John Leyton on the back. John kindly signed this for me when I met him at a gig some years ago: he even very patiently listened to my story of me being in the audience when he sang Cupboard Love live at the BBC studios on Crackerjack in 1963!
This LP is an R.G.M. Sound Recording under the musical supervision of the acclaimed producer – Joe Meek. Joe wrote 3 tracks for this LP under his pseudonym Bob Duke and there are 2 compositions penned by Geoff Goddard – a long term collaborator with Joe Meek and RGM.
The record is in SUPERB near mint /EX+ condition with a beautiful gloss/sheen to the vinyl.
The laminated front picture sleeve cover is in LOVELY EX to EX+ condition: and the non-laminated back cover is also in nice condition with the bonus of the John Leyton autograph [see scan].
This is a really nice LP sleeve.
The labels are nice and clean and free of any writing or marks of any description.
The record has its original HMV inner sleeve.
This is a fabulous condition LP that has been very well looked after.
I have test played this LP - for this auction – on my BOSE hi-fi system and it sounded very nice indeed.
