TWIST at the STAR CLUB HAMBURG
LP

Mega rare album from the early days of UK Beat! ….Recorded live at the famous Star-Club, Hamburg, Germany sometime in 1962 or 1963. The Rattles, Searchers, Peter Nelson, Roy Young.....Interestingly, track 5 on side one is not listed on the sleeve or record. It is Lennon & McCartneys ‘Please Please Me’. The Beatles recorded their version in November 1963 and their LP was issued in January 1963 so this version must be one of the earliest recorded by another group………….Also the singer “Dan Sherry” is actually Tony Sheridan (who sadly died in February this year).

The record is in superb condition – feint ‘paper’ lines hardly visible. Sleeve is good with little laminate lift to rh corner and light mark on the back.
