American novelist, screenwriter, playwright and actor Truman Capote (1924-1984) reads ten scenes from his world-famous 1965 book about the brutal murder of the Cutter family in Holcomb, Kansas on November 15, 1959. The book received the 1966 Edgar Award for Best Fact Crime book. It was made into a movie in 1967 starring Robert Blake and Scott Wilson, and was directed by Richard Brooks.
