TRIANGULO 1981 SELF TITLED MEXICAN LP PROG FUSION JAZZ VINYL RARE

One day, browsing through the stalls of a market, I heard a song about Camel that I especially like, "Rhayader" (The Snow Goose). I followed the sound and arrived at a record post. It was not Camel but a Mexican jazz band. What a surprise. The album had a photo on a black background, in which appeared a lot of instruments totally foreign to rock and rare in the same jazz: bongos and cymbals of all sizes, percussions for children unknown to me, acoustic guitars and winds, especially the flute and an oboe. At the top, in large white capital letters, the name of the group. And in the back cover, a photo of the members, all (six or seven, if I remember correctly) dressed in white shirt and black pants, aligned and smiling. Below them, the titles of the ten tracks that indicate that it is, mostly, adaptations of Baroque or Renaissance music: "Aria", "Saltarello", "Dance", "Sarabanda", "Study".

From the album it seemed that the only survivors were the acoustic guitar and the flute. Now, a piano as a central instrument, a double bass and a music much closer to a mainstream jazz
