Tanx would more or less prove to be the last great T.Rex album. Bolan and his crew of high healed glitter splattered rock n' rollers would go on to make a few more records before his death. But nothing after Tanx would come anywhere near the quality of this, the Slider, or Electric Warrior.

By far the heaviest record that T.Rex would ever unleash. Heavy on the distortion and more bottom than the previous three records. But while the volume level is higher here than before, (much like Bolan himself and his growing coke problem), the best thing about the previous records is missing. The groove! There is none of that here. But other than that, there really is nothing to complain about.

Ya got the acoustic hippie schtick that Bolan did so well, along side hard hitting rock anthems. Everything here works and is good. I know that a pretty lame sentence but its true. Nothing here is bad, its just nothing here is as good as what they did before this.

One thing that does bother me about Bolan is his refusal to include singles from same sessions as the album on the actual album. '20th Century Boy' and 'Children of the Revolution' were from the same recording sessions and werent on the original album. Thank God for remasters because all cd versions have them both.

From here Bolan would slip in to darkness much like the great Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy. Deeper and deeper into drugs, releasing worse and worse albums by the year on to sober up and begin a climb to the top again only to die tragically young.

(b)          The album is believed to include the original poster.

(c)           The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(d)            The record is  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·                               THE COVER

COVER IS (WEAK) NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP   (A SMALL PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has a slight warp in one wop corner; this will have absolutely no effect on the record.

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spines (unipak sleeves have two spines); (nothing significant)

-         Cover shows JUST A HINT of yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.

-         Back cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting)  (BARELY VISIBLE)

-         Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)
