Description
Here I have on offer a stereo BBC Transcription Services recording of a concert by T.Rex, introduced by John Peel.
The concert is a half-hour show occupying one side of the record and I have no idea when or where it was recorded.
The other side is a collection of unknown (to me) and undistinguished tracks from various artists.
The disc is called "Pick Of The Pops For Your DJ-324; John Peel in concert with T.Rex"
There is no track sheet for this one but I have written the tracks on the yellow sleeve. (Deborah,Elemental Child, Ride a White Swan and Jewel)
Side one (the collection of tracks)is numbered 127662 and side two (T.Rex)127663-S.
Side two is timed at 25' 15".
As far as quality goes the disc is definitely not in the best condition with surface noise in the background throughout the concert. (Not surprising given the age of the record.)
There is no denying that the surface noise can be heard at the beginning and end (lead-in and lead-out grooves), also between tracks when John Peel introduces the songs.
However, no jumps and no "pops", and when the music is playing the surface noise does not intrude.
Overall a very enjoyable listen and a treat for T.Rex fans.
You will see from feedback left by others who have dealt with me that I grade my items quite conservatively, so you can bid with confidence.
I always play the items before listing and try to assess honestly.

I am just a man with a large collection - most of which I hardly ever play - so doesn't seem to be much point in keeping them!
