VERY NEAR MINT

beyond rare single - never seen because so few copies were sold at the time - Trees on 45! - now that’s something you don’t see every day - the perfect labels are clean, bright and sharp - interestingly, they erroneously state ‘From the LP, 'Trees' - S 63837’ - even the CBS company bag is very rare with this short-lived design and in as-new condition - nice heavyweight pressing with superb sonics which are noticeably more potent on this, the single mix of the incredible ‘Nothing Special’, with Bias Boshell’s driving bass lines and Unwin Brown’s deceptively relaxed yet very powerful drumming underpinning the song so distinctively - Barry Clarke’s oozing fuzz breaks and Celia Humphries' gorgeous singing, with a little ornamentation from David Costa’s acoustic guitar, complete the huge and glorious soundscape - Celia’s lovely voice is even more delicious on the chillingly beautiful B-side ‘Epitaph’ - surely one of the most haunting acid folk songs featuring female vocals you’ll ever hear - it really is absolutely stunning!
