This is the real thing from 1982…NOT A REISSUE OR MODERN REPRODUCTION!!! This is the album with "ROSANNA", released in 1982.

Very elaborately done, the framed award measures 18 inches by 30 inches by 2 inches thick. Contained within are both the PLATINUM LP and GOLD LP, mini album cover, color photograph of TOTO, engraved presentation plaque and signatures of all six group members. All of these elements are mounted to float at various levels giving an interesting 3 dimensional depth to the entire piece. Please Note: This item is almost 25 years old and has been displayed hung on the wall since then. Age and environment has affected it with fading and the Gold LP developing a warp that is clearly noticeable.

Fitzgerald Hartley Co was the personal managers for TOTO and still are to this day (they are currently on tour). TOTO was the largest client that Fitzgerald Hartley represented and they were truly appreciative of those who were directly responsible for making the major contributions to the incredible success of TOTO IV. This award was specifically created to present only to those individuals. Tom Ray was owner of one of the largest West Coast Promotions company and played an enormous role in the amazing success of TOTO IV. Naturally he was one of the recipients of this award for his achievements. Very few of these awards were created according to Tom, somewhere between 5 and 12. A COLLECTOR’S DREAM. No other collector has this unless one of the few original recipients has let his go.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Tom Ray began his music career as the drummer for THE LEAVES, famous for their hit "HEY JOE". After the group disbanded Tom went into promotions, eventually hired by London Records where he headed the Promotions Department working with The Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, Ten Years After, and many other London Deram acts.. He left London in 1973 and formed his own independent promotion company becoming one of the most successful independent promotion companies of the day.
