Description
Artist: Tortilla Factory, featuring Bobby Butler (El Charro Negro) singing the iconic funk tune titled COOKIN'.
Record label: GC Production Records, San Antonio, Texas.
LP title: TORTILLA FACTORY, GCLP 107, recorded in August 1973, and produced by the legendary Manny R. Guerra.

Grade: Gatefold Jacket: VG due to age spots, and a bit of loss of paper on the seams, and name written on the back, but still very presentable; labels: MINT; vinyl: NM- due to a few very light, superficial rub marks; sound: NM- due to very minimal background noise at intros of songs, but once the group starts playing, all you hear is one incredibly talented group of musicians and singers playing and singing their hearts out!
Comments: This is one of the most sought after Tejano/Latin Funk LP's for following reasons:
1. This was the most creatively arranged Tejano LP ever recorded...only the most talented musicians and singers could have pulled this LP off.
2. The selection of songs is awesome, and they demonstrate how musically gifted these guys were...what an incredible auditory experience!
3. This LP contains the iconic funk tune titled COOKIN'...5 minutes and 39 seconds of funk music by a super tight group of musicians!
4. This is an extremely rare gatefold PROMO copy of the LP that would become one of the most highly collectible Tejano LP's on the planet.
If you haven't heard the funk tune COOKIN' go to youtube.com and search "Tortilla Factory - Cookin'" and you will be blown away by this killer song...the horn arrangement is the best that I have ever heard...period!
