FREEPORT s/t
1970/USA/Mainstream Records S/6130….... here’s a clean original pressing of this obscure psych rock lp. The cover is in nice condition with heavy seam wear/cracking top and a 5" seam split top seam from opening, spotty light lower seam wear, corner dings/wear/creasing and loss of paper on tips, light shelf wear front and back, otherwise solid with no delete. The vinyl is in M- like new condition with a bit of minor light inaudible storage staining. The record looks new and Unplayed! The Promo labels are clean with no spindle marks! Freeport was a huge band in the NE Ohio area in 1970 -- playing constantly in Cleveland and the Youngstown areas. They recorded an LP in Miami for Mainstream records, which included several originals and the Eric Carmen song 'I Need Your Lovin'.' An additional 45 was also released with two songs not on the LP. The band also used the name Freeport Express but it's not clear if that was a name change. The band continued to play into 1971 or 1972." --Buckeye Beat
GRADING
MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
