CLEAN 1969 RAINBOW Capitol ORIGINAL first pressing .... here's the cool second album by the psychedelic hardrock sounds of SRC...
The SRC (short for The Scott Richard Case) was a Detroit/Ann Arbor based psychedelic rock band from 1966 to 1972, and were a staple at many Detroit rock venues, such as the legendary Grande Ballroom. The SRC was formed by Scott Richardson, the Chosen Few lead singer, with local band The Fugitives, which featured Glenn Quackenbush, Gary Quackenbush & E.G. Clawson, all based in Ann Arbor. Jeep Holland, manager of The Rationals, became their manager and suggested Richardson as lead singer. Bass player Robin Dale was added later. The SRC were a powerful act on the Detroit scene, playing along with The MC5, Stooges, Rationals, Bob Seger System, etc. and soon scored a major contract with Capitol Records. In 1968 SRC released their self titled first album and quickly developed a large cult following based on the albums exceptional "underground rock" sound, filled with killer tracks drenched in fluid soaring fuzz guitar. In 1969 they released their second album, "Milestones" which is on par with their first LP and a true progression in sound too, they sound just as solid but a little different -- a group well ahead of their time. MILESTONES is a mix of hard psychedelic rock, filled with the fluid soating guitar sound that thrills, like on the first album... and 2 suprisingly softer nice melodic tracks that sound great, as singer Scott Richardson has a whispering quality on this LP, as in "I Remember Your Face" and "Show Me" -- a psychedelic heartfelt sound for sure. The other tracks rip into the soundscape like nothing else and no doubt is a top LP for any serious collector of 60's rock music. Very sad they never got the recognition like MC5 and the Stooges, even though SRC was signed to a major label before either of those bands, and even had a distribution deal in England.

CONDITION: The cover: solid on both sides and all seams = "EX" (excellent) looks collectible, has no seams splits, no writing, no bends the back cover that is alnost always found with wear is CLEAN M-...a special 40+ year old collectible...
The vinyl is all glossy "EX" (excellent) clean and clear on BOTH sides = expect to play enjoyable through both sides...minty clean.....
