I will cut to the chase here...if you are looking at this, you know the deal. This auction is for Tool's Aenima double gatefold 1st 1996 original pressing still sealed. However, you may not know that there are two pressings of the original lp. The differences can be seen on the bottom of the back cover with the printing and on the spine. In the last photo, the original is on top. Research it for yourself. I would guess that most people that have a second pressing are not even aware it. I own both pressings and purchased the original one new at Best Buy. My second pressing was purchased on Ebay and is not included in this auction and is unsealed. I have decided to part with my remaining sealed copy due to economical reasons. This is NOT a reissue and also has the breath holes in the factory shrink indicating it is not a re-seal. The only flaws are a small tear in the shrink at one of the breath holes about 1/2 inch only. There is minimal creasing on the backside only due to tight shrink and from being stored for several years due to moving. It has been stored in a re-sealable Japanese jacket (as shown in pictures) for many years untouched in a smoke/pet free environment. I did not even take it out to photograph. Fingerprints in the photos are on the outside of jacket, not on shrink/lp itself. And best of all, NO reserve! Good luck!

Next to the and before the barcode is the Zoo logo only and it is not in bright lettering (as seen in picture)

The numbers on the barcode are the same thou 6 1422-31087-1 1 The barcode on the original however is taller.

The recent explosion of re-issues and colored bootlegs usually replicate the 1st pressing. However, the printing is slightly blurry when compared to the original. Also, the bootlegs and re-issues are not sealed w/hype stickers. I am a serious collector of vinyl and an audiophile. My opened copy sounds absolutely amazing on a good system! Don't be fooled by the colored bootlegs. They don't compare with the fidelity of the original 180g pressings.

 On closer inspection due to someone's question, I did notice some minimal shelf wear on a couple of the corners. It is slight but I wanted to be 100 % about the description and I will email anyone closer photos if they desire.
