Description
the debut album by Tonton Macoute on the Neon label from 1971 (NE 4).
as you can see from the pictures the gatefold sleeve is fairly worn with storage wear along the edges and spine. the inner gatefold picture is nice and bright and the seams are strong. there is no writing on the sleeve.
the correct black inner is present although the poly lining is quite wrinkled and creased.
i would say that the sleeve is between GOOD and VERY GOOD.
the record has been cleaned on an Okki Nokki machine and then recorded in full. there's a surface mark across side 1 (part of which is shown in the last picture). it's not actually a feelable mark and the part that i've photographed is the thickest part.
the best way to grade this album is to listen to the recordings in full and then decide for yourself. personally i think it's pretty close to being VERY GOOD - there is some surface noise on the quieter parts but it's not such a bad listen overall. side 2 seems to play through better than side 1. i did however notice the briefest of skips at around the 7 minute mark. it's not glaringly obvious though. anyway, have a listen and see what you think.
