Up for auction is a rare original copy of the Tom Waits album "Closing Time" originally released in the U.S. on Asylum Records (SD 5061) in 1973.


-Guaranteed original pressing

-Original white Asylum labels

-Artisan mastering mark in deadwax

-Original inner sleeve w/ lyrics

-No UPC/bar code on cover


Note:

Most copies of this album sold as "original" on eBay are not original. Original pressings had the white Asylum labels, which were very quickly replaced by the far more common "blue clouds" labels.


Also, this copy has the rare Artisan mastering marks in both deadwax run-outs. These pressings are considered by collectors to often have superior sound quality.
