Description
I'll be listing some great stuff over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out. I'm mad about music so everything listed has been played all the way through (at least once!). I do try and describe every record in as much detail as relevantly possible and will not ignore/overlook flaws in order to hike up the price! My top grade is Excellent +++ and this is for a basically almost perfect record (rest assured anything I grade at Excellent or above would probably be graded as MINT by a lot of other sellers)...records in this sort of condition do not come along that often, so I'm surprised to see so many graded as Mint or Near Mint (!!!????) which are mainly completely misleading. Even with new vinyl, as soon as you drag the vinyl out of it's sleeve those annoying hairline scratches appear and sometimes worse and even the packaging has wear/flaws. Anyway, I do pride myself in being as honest as possible and think if I was buying this record what would I want to know.
Extremely hard to find in any condition TOM WAITS "Bone Machine" 1992 ISLAND Records ILPS 9993 512 580-1 STEREO (says "...exclusively licensed to Island Records in the UK on the sleeve and label and it does have LC 0407 BIEM STEMRA on the label...matrix no on the run off groove is DFI 92 7 ILPS 9993 A1 and B on side 2...not sure country of origin...either UK or Germany...what I do know is that on vinyl this is as rare as they come...I did buy it new when it first came out at Jumbo Records in Leeds....anyway enough of the technical info/should you need more let me know) 16 track LP, all classics in Tom Waits own inimitable style....my personal favourites "All stripped down", "Jesus gonna be here", "A little rain", "Goin out west"..a true classic....features Keith Richards on one track "That Feel"..the list goes on and on....superb!!!
Condition
Sleeve
The sleeve has very little wear to mention of....except the slightest of wear to a couple of corners and a very light crease to the top right hand front corner...really hardly noticeable.The sleeve still has superb sharp edges, superb wear-free opening edges with no feathering, excellent corners (slight wear on a couple mentioned already) and a superb square spine which is perfectly readable. Overall I grade the sleeve as Excellent+ (if not better)(graded properly)
Inner Sleeve
The inner lyric sleeve is in Excellent++ condition (if not better)(graded properly).
Vinyl
The record is in great condition and plays all the way through without skips,jumps,hiss,pops, with little or no background noise but the occasional faint click. There are a few light surface marks and only a few paper scuffs when viewed at an angle under a bright light. None of which detract the listening pleasure. Overall I grade the vinyl as Excellent (if not better)(graded properly).
Labels
The labels are in Excellent condition with a few faint spindle marks.
