Description

RARE and played ONLY TWICE - Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs - ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING -- Todd Rundgren - Something/Anything? -- MFSL 2-225. Special Limited Edition No. 1309 from the Anadisq 200 LP series. Please see ACTUAL PHOTOs. This version is the infamous MFSL Half-Speed production with mastering from Original Masteringworks. Specially plated and pressed on 200 grams of High Definition Vinyl. Mastered from the Original Master Tapes. Special Heavy Duty MFSL Protective Packaging and ORIGINAL static free inner sleeves. Originally released in late 1972, Something/Anything? is still considered THE CLASSIC Todd Rundgren album. Several songs received airplay on either AM or FM radio of the era, especially, "I Saw the Light," "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference," "Black Maria," "Couldn't I Just Tell You" and especially, "Hello, It's Me," which is the song Todd is best-known for worldwide. What's cool about this album is the between-track banter with Todd and his guest musicians and vocalists. Much here is live in the studio, but some is Todd all by himself, practicing his "sounds of the studio" wizardry with all kinds of interesting analog effects; part serious and some parts comical or light-hearted. Bottom line: Todd Rundgren was (and still is) a musical genius; one of the most prolific and talented writers/producers and truly great entertainers in all of rock history. Complete track listing: "I Saw the Light," "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference," "Wolfman Jack," "Cold Morning Light," "It Takes Two to Tango (This is For the Girls)," "Sweeter Memories," "Breathless," "The Night The Carousel Burnt Down," "Saving Grace," "Marlene," "Song of the Viking," "I Went to the Mirror," "Black Maria," "One More Day (No Word)," "Couldn't I Just Tell You," "Torch Song," "Little Red Lights," "Baby Needs a New Pair of Snakeskin Boots," "Overture - My Roots," "Dust in the Wind," "Piss Aaron," "Hello, It's Me," "Some Folks is Even Whiter Than Me," "You Left Me Sore" and "Slut." Vinyl is Near Mint ...two tiny plating press marks (from manufacturing) on side two (record 1, side two) that do not affect play (inaudible) ...played no more than twice and stored -- appears as it did when first opened (like new) ...sounds excellent! Gatefold cover/jacket is VG++ ...very close to Near Mint ...one small indentation mark near the lower left-hand corner of the front (very minor) ...otherwise, like new. Inside gatefold photo artwork and foldout insert (with all song lyrics and credits) are just like the original 1972 album release -- very nicely done! LP package has been stored in a poly outer sleeve in a smoke-free environment. This MFSL audiophile LP title is RARE - you won't see many, especially in this condition!
