TOAD – RARE SWISS PROGRESSIVE LP – G/F CVR ORIGINAL 1971 Band: TOAD Album Title: TOAD
On offer here is a VERY RARE ORIGINAL Swiss first pressing of the First Album by TOAD the Swiss progressive and hard rock band. It was released in 1971 on the Swiss HALLELUJAH Label and is housed in an awesome Fold-Out Cover (see photos).
Track listing: Side 1: Cotton Wood Hill; A Life that Ain’t Worth Living; Tank; They Say I’m Mad Side 2: Life Goes On; Pig’s Walk, The One I Mean
Label: HALLELUJAH
Cover Grade: overall VG+ - EX except for a whitish small thumb-size stain on the front cover middle top (see photo). The awesome Fold-Out Cover is 100% intact, but shows some light wear signs of wear (just little bit of ringwear on the bac and around the corners. Otherwise in nice collectable condition.
Record Grade: VG(+) – the heavy vinyl record some superficial hairlines on both sides – but nothing heavy (visual grading VG). Obvious spindle marks on both labels indicate that it must have been played frequently. I have played the entire album album on my Thorens TD 320 system equipped with the delicate Shure V15 stylus and it plays through perfect, however with some minor background noise, which is only lightly audible in between the tracks and on the (very rare) queter passages (audio grading a strong VG+)
Cat Number: X 616
Mode: STEREO
Country of Manufacture: Switzerland
Original Year of Release: 1971
Matrix Nos: (machine stamped) X 616 A / X 616 B
A rare opportunity to acquire a classic Swiss Hard Rock/Progressive Album from the early 70’s.
