Description
Obtained from a band member about fifteen years ago, this beautiful poster was designed to publicise legendary UK psych underground band Tintern Abbey’s week-long November 1967 residency at an Amsterdam club called The Birds. This might well be the only one still in existence – it was used in 2003 to illustrate a Record Collector feature on the band, and that image has in turn been reproduced on various internet sites over the last decade or so.
The poster has been stored away folded in half and therefore has a fold mark, but is in excellent condition overall. Beautiful in every way, this is one of the rarest paper artefacts of the UK psych scene and will probably never be offered again.
