1966/USA/Folkways Records F-9701….. This is a gorgeous original pressing of this rare lp. The cover is in Excellent condition with a 2" split/tear in the paper wrap around cover on the spine, the spine itself is not split, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in M- condition like new condition and looks Unplayed. The labels are perfectly clean with no spindle marks. Includes the 2 page insert and cardboard divider for inside the cover. Both inserts are clean and undamaged. This is A gorgeous copy for any collection! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!

Originally issued in 1966 as The Psychedelic Experience: Readings from Book "The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead", Folkways 9701/Broadside Records BRX 601.

In this recording two passages have been selected: "Going Out": to be listened to at the very beginning of the session, just before and after the time when the going out begins, i.e. when the psychedelic beings to take effect. "Coming Back" : to be listened to towards the last third of the session, when the ego is beginning to re-assert itself, when "I" first makes its appearance in thought and speech. The exact time will of course vary from person to person and with the particular chemical used. "Coming Back" increases in effectiveness if repeated two or three times during the re-entry phase. "Going Out" may also be played toward the end of the session if the voyager wishes to regain the earliest and highest part of the voyage.

GRADING

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
