It’s a Mod Mod world (!). This original first pressing on the ‘Wessex’ label was NEVER released in a picture sleeve. The name of the band is TEENAGE FILMSTARS and with the band are Dan Treacy and Joe Foster of TELEVISION PERSONALITIES. Both tracks were written and composed by band leader Ed Ball from the O-LEVEL and Mod super-group the TIMES. Two pressings of this rare Mod/Powerpop 7“ exist. The ‘Wessex’ release and the ‘Blueprint’ release....but only the ‘Wessex’ issue is the original one. That means you are bidding on the original first pressing, released on ‘Wessex’ records in 1980 (catalogue number WEX 275). The charmer on the A-side named ‘The Odd Man Out’ and is catchy DIY powerpop soundalike, topped with fantastic melodies. The winner on the flip ‘I Apologise’ is TIMES influenced `79 Mod soundalike. Don’t miss this rarity. The vinyl is in excellent condition (very clean pressing).
