Description

THE TIFFANY SHADE:same (Mainstream 56105/1967)

Early release on the highly collectible Mainstream label that has become one of the more sought titles in recent years. This is a mono copy that is stamped "DJ copy not for sale" on the back cover.
The music is west-coast psych folk-rock showing some early Jefferson Airplane influence and containing some nice fuzz guitar. A number of the songs show a bit of a jazz influence. Nine out of the ten songs on the LP are originals, and are extremely well-crafted.
The cover is VG- (some wear on spine; heavy damage on bottom seam - 3" split at opening has been discretely taped, 1" of cardboard showing near spine, some cracking along rest; several tears and some light staining on back cover -see photo; one word crossed out in blue ink in a song title on back; slight creasing in lower right corner on front where taped).
The record looks VG (fair amount of light hairline marksacross both sides), plays a strong VG+ (last 2 tracks have a moderate amount ofvery light crackling throughout; others play with either a very rare crackle or no noise at all - overall, what little noise exists is barely audible under headphones).

All LPs now cleaned on a VPI machine.
