Description
Excellent hard to find 45 by Tidal Waves. Songs are: "Farmer John" b/w "She Left Me All Alone". Original U.S. pressing on HBR Records #486 released in 1966. Condition is Excellent+ near Mint- (Farmer John)/VG++ (Excellent) (She Left Me All Alone), few fine light surface marks/light surface scuff/sleeve mark, not affecting play. Appears very lightly played and well cared for over the years.
Killer Teen Garage band from Detroit area. John Chekaway, a relative of the two band members, signed the group to his Detroit-based record label SVR Records. The Tidal Waves raised the $200 required to record at United Sound Systems Studios on January 7, 1966, cutting a killer frantic version of Don and Dewey's tune, "Farmer John", and an original song "She Left Me All Alone", on a Scully 4-track for their debut single. The record was co-produced by Chekaway and Richard Cioffari. Originally, 1,000 copies of "Farmer John" were pressed. Chekaway could not afford to keep issuing more copies of the single, so he signed the Tidal Waves recording contract over to Hanna-Barbera Records.

Grading Scale:
10: Mint Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.
9: Mint- Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record.
8: Excellent (VG++) Condition between 7 and 9.
7: VG+ Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise.
6: VG Looks more used, light to moderate scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise.
5: VG- A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection.
4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!
3-2-1: It only goes down from here.
