Description

Artist : Third Ear Band

Title: Music From MacBeth

Details: - This is part of my Personal Collection which I have spent many years acquiring and I am gradually selling. I always purchased the best condition copies. This is the original RARE 1st Issue UK pressing of `Music From MacBeth` by UK Folk Progsters `Third Ear Band` on the Green Harvest label with `Gramophone Co` rim text in Textured `Garrod & Lofthouse` sleeve with Harvest Inner - Run Out/Matrix SHSP 4019 A-1/SHSP 4019 B -1 Mother Stampers 1GO/1L

Label - Harvest

Cat Number - SHSP 4019

Year of Release -1972

Country - UK

Vinyl (MINT-) `THICK` vinyl plays Superb even on the quiet Sections (and there are lots) - Even under bright halogen light scrutiny I can only see the faintest of paper scuffs, a real TOP COPY!! - comes with original Harvest advertising `Factory Sleeve` polylined inner sleeve

Labels - UNDAMAGED & CLEAN Green Harvest - hard to see any spindle marks possibly one - this LP has hardly had any play AT ALL!! Has the all important `Gramophone Co` text showing this to be the first Issue!! Has `Made in Great Britain` Credit

Sleeve (NMINT) Original Textured `Garrod & Lofthouse`  - this is a really delicate Textured `Floppy style sleeve, very prone to wear and ripping - this copy has been stored very well for its nearly 50 year lifetime and looks superb with just some ageing on rear, The very thin `Pinched` Spine is in sound condition & clearly readable, the Edges are also all in sound condition, though it is a floppy sleeve the opening is still sharp showing lack of play! This really is a TOP copy of this Sleeve (See Photos for Full Overview)

Rarity - Very hard to find especially with such a nice Vinyl!! This was never released without the EMI box, this is the first issue of a very collectible LP not a big seller in its day, now a rarity!!!

Just a note on Grading - I always play grade my records right through and unless stated they do not jump, skip or stick when played!!! I always view the vinyl under a very bright halogen spotlight!!!

I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover

I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting (also I dont cut the corners of the record sleeve off the picture!!)

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Near Mint,  EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
