Wilbur Ware,''Shadow'' Wilson, Coleman Hawkins, Gigi Gryce, Ray Copeland and Art Blakey all perform albeit in two separate sessions, where Coltrane lends his incredible expertise to the Monk classics 'Ruby My Dear', 'Off Minor', 'Nutty' and 'Epistrophy' with the final track 'Functional' a Monk solo

LABELS: Clean, bright and unmarked labels with just one or two light spindle traces - this copy has seen very, very little play - NEAR MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, like new glossy sheen. There are one or two light brush marks (which seem to be within the vinyl itself) but these are very minor and have no audio consequence - this is a very nice copy indeed - visually EXCELLENT+
VINYL Audio: Superb cut with a crystal clear, deep, rich and fresh sound - beautifully recorded and engineered and on playback at loud volume there are no major audio issues of note - no distortion or groove-wear, no scratches, no loud clicks or pops and no prominent surface noise - just a little minor (non-continuous) background on the sparse Monk solo "Functional" otherwise, it plays just about as quietly as you could wish for. A great sounding copy which has seen little play in the last 48 years! critically graded NEAR MINT/ EXCELLENT for audio
SLEEVE: The original front laminated flipback sleeve still retains the original gloss to the front laminate and the back is pretty clean. There are some 'knocks' to the corners and a very small split to the centre of the bottom edge (only just spotted that myself as it's barely noticeable) but otherwise pretty fresh - VERY GOOD
