Description
Up for auction is a nice copy of the Thelonious Monk album "Plays Duke Ellington" originally released in the U.S. on Riverside Records (12-201) in 1955.

Condition:
Cover is beautiful, still has its original high glossy shine. Lamination is in great shape, just a tiny bit of lifting along open edge. Back is nice and clean, bone white, light rub. Corners are nice, light rub. Very nicely preserved. Grade: Excellent (EX).
Vinyl is in nice condition, still has its original shine. Has a few light, superficial marks and a light needle drag, nothing deep or serious, nothing that would affect the quality of the playback. Labels are clean, unmarked.
Play-Tested: When played in the recommended Mono Mode, the sound quality is very nice, full-bodied fidelity. Perhaps a small amount of background noise on the run-in, but once the music starts, it fades out, no problems. Very nice! Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).
