Description
Hard-to-find original MONO pressing from Thelonious Monk titled "Brilliant Corners" released by Riverside (RLP 12-226) in 1957. Blue on White labels. Third album on Riverside proved to be a turning point for Monk with 5 compositions showcasing his uniquely creative approach to piano and arranging. Playing with Monk in various settings are Ernie Henry, alto sax; Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Oscar Pettiford, bass; Max Roach, drums; Clark Terry, trumpet; Paul Chambers, bass. Essential listening!!

Labels are in VG++ condition with some spindle scuffmarks around center hole. Vinyl record is in VG+ condition with some surface scuffs and plays with some light background noises. Fidelity is excellent...sounds great! Trail-off, dead wax has a stock number marked in grease pencil (see pictures) that has no affect on how record plays. Cover is in VG+ condition with light wear at corners, has some writing on backside, light discoloration along right edge of backside and a personal ink stamp at bottom of backside. Front glossy lamination is in very nice shape. NO RESERVE. Winner pays $4.00 media mail in the U.S. Priority mail and insurance are available at buyers expense.
