Description
The Zombies - Begin Here (Decca, year unknown, mono, DOA 4 (820 098-1 RM), ARL 6709/6710)
This is NOT the original 1964 issue, but rare nevertheless.
The re-issue would appear to be mid-1980s judging by the price sticker on the rear sleeve above barcode (the barcode itself is evidence of it being a re-issue) (see pic)
Condition of vinyl is VG+/EX Vinyl has a few light marks on Side 1 but these are very, very light and at first not noticeable unless tilted a particular way. There are no scratches or blemishes that produce audible defects whilst listening. Side B has a some spindle marks on the label around the hole, but vinyl is fine and unmarked. Previous owner was blind hence spindle marks.
Sleeve is somewhere between VG and VG+/Ex. On front sleeve there is a small tear at the opening edge near top (see pic), a stain or mark just below the tear (see pic). A slight curve at bottom right of sleeve leads toward a crease at the bottom (see pic taken from an angle to show the surface of the sleeve). Bottom left corner has slight wear. Rear sleeve has a sticker above barcode (under which should be the DOA 4 catalogue number. Overall there is slight yellowing to the edges of the sleeve due to age/sunlight.
