Description

THE WHO

"WHO DID IT!"

Released on the Track Record label, number 2856 001 in 1970 (although the labels credit 1966 & 1967)

This album was released as a mail order record and then immediately withdrawn, making it one of the rarest Who albums!

Every album is given a thorough visual inspection and play graded using the Record Collectors Grading System.

The front cover and at least one label are photographed at an angle to show any ring or corner wear or spindle marks and I am always happy to answer any questions or provide further information or photographs. Any faults are always listed!

Description:

Cover: Laminated on the front, plain on the rear.

Front: Laminate has bubbled and has started to lift near the edge of the spine. There is evidence of ringwear and corner scuffing on the edges.

Overall in very good condition.

Rear: There is evidence of ringwear and corner scuffing.

Overall in very good condition.

Opening edge: Some areas of feathering.

Overall in very good condition.

Spine: Strong, and still reasonably sharp.

Overall in very good condition.

Sleeve: Original polyliner, 'plastic bags can be dangerous' sleeve, slightly mellowed, but no tears or writing.

Overall in very good condition.

Labels: The Track labels are still very clean with evidence of spindle wear. No writing or stickers.

Overall in very good condition.

Vinyl: Side 1 plays through really well, with no skips or jumps, but with the occasional background noise. Side 2 plays the same except for the last three tracks where there is a scratch, which can be heard as a click once on every revolution of the record.

Overall in good to very good condition.

Record Collector Grading Criteria:

Mint:

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent:

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good:

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good:

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
