Description
This LP is getting very difficult to find.
It's on the UK Deram label and is by a band called The Web. It's entitled 'Theraphosa Blondi' and was released in 1969. The theraphosa blondi is better known as the goliath bird eating spider.
It's a mono recording and the catalogue number is DML-R 1058.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve which is laminated on the front and is in fine condition with some wear, ring wear and creasing. It states on the back - 'A MIKE BURTON PRODUCTION - Recording Engineer : Derek Varnals - Photograph/Design : Terence Ibbott'. The edges and spine show some very minor wear. The rear of the sleeve is in fine comdition with minimal discolouration and wear. It features the 10mm round hole in the top right hand corner. The wording along the spine is 100% readable. I've graded the sleeve Ex--. It was printed by Clout & Baker Ltd. and was laminated with Clarifoil by British Celanese Limited.
INNER BAG - Plain white diecut paper type with clear plastic liner.
RECORD - The record is in fine condition. It appears to have been played a few times. There are some light superficial marks on each side. It plays through well on both sides with some minor surface noise and one or two pops and clicks on both sides. There are no jumps on any of the tracks on either side.
LABELS - The labels are tan and white coloured with the Deram logo at the top and black wording. There are some spindle marks on both sides around the hole. The labels are in fine condition with no damage. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - ARL-9233.P-1A (stampers 1 B) - side two - ARL-9234.P-1A (stampers 1 D). I've graded the record as Ex-- which I believe is very fair.
I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. It will be difficult to find this record again.
THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM.
