DERAM SML 1025
A rare bit of British psychedelic artsy rock and to be honest quite a tear from the collection. However, needs must. There is NO RESERVE - you know what it books at in the guide.
Condition is superb with an excellent sheen and near pristine label. There is a tiny darker area around the spindle hole on side 2. There are some very light marks both of which I was responsible for when I last played it. I got distracted when taking it off the deck and got my thumb nail across it. However, the record plays a treat and there are two clicks on the end of the last track only. The clarity of sound is superb with no loss at all which isn't bad for a (cripes) near forty year old record. There are some minor marks in the dead wax.
The lyrics are really good and the music is a great example of the era. It's very British and has that Caravan, Pink Floyd well bought up boys feel!
Matrix No @ 6 o'clock is ZAL 8263 - IW
The sleeve is superb too. The minor faults are that it has a small crease to the side and the spine is a little flat. There is also a yellow mark to the rear.
Overall this is a painful record to put up for auction as I feel I may regret it.
I grade using R.R.P.G. grades (record/sleeve) and tend to grade conservatively - I'm still seeing too many records graded as Mint even though they are second/third hand! Mint is new, never played and preferably sealed
