Description

The VELVET UNDERGROUND vinyl LP WHITE LIGHT/WHITE HEAT, 1968, US Pressing VERVE Records, V6-5046, Stereo. Imported from USA privately. The VU second album, after Andy Warhol and Nico. This is one of the first editions with the Andy Warhol concept famous black on black Skull on the left half on the front cover. (See Photos).  Blue VERVE Label, Three Prong Credits makes this item authentic. In the left bottom the cover has a round hole punched through. Vinyl looks in excellent condition, had almost no play and shows no scratches or damage. Cover is thick cardboard as it used to be at the time of release. Contains original inner sleeve, no hole. The music is dark raw Lou Reed and John Cale dominated electrics, with the famous Sister Ray on side 2 lasting 17:00 Mins. This recording alone inspired countless new wave / electronic bands in the 70s and 80s. Very rare item and condition. Selling from my private collection, free postage in Australia.
