The Troggs are widely seen as a highly influential band whose sound was an inspiration for garage rock and punk rock. On this album, their third release, the group followed a more subdued, soft-rock folk-psychedelic path than they had on their earlier recordings, which wasn't necessarily a bad idea, as the hit single "Love Is All Around" attests. Probably their best-known track after ‘Wild Thing’, the song has been covered by numerous artists including R.E.M. and Wet Wet Wet's cover, for the soundtrack to the 1994 film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, was an international hit and spent 15 weeks at number one in the UK Singles Chart.
The vinyl is in excellent condition, with a few light surface marks to either side, the sleeve is in very good plus condition with a little age discolouration and some light creasing to the edges. (n.b. the marks appearing on the picture of the sleeve, over the band's faces, are supposed to be there!)
A really nice copy of this highly collectable album, a must have for any collector of 60’s rock/pop!
