Having had rather a lengthy hiatus, I'm back to sell more of my collection/ 2nd copies/ records I think might be of interest to others. In previous years I've sold very rare PROG, 60s, PUNK etc, ranging from cheap record right up to £1000 records, and have invariably got good feedback. However, having been away from selling for so long I realise I need to build up current positive feedback again, hence I'm listing many items at buy it now prices, please check out my current, and coming here at my other items! Here we have an original UK pressing of THE TEARDROP EXPLODES' 1981 7" single, PASSIONATE FRIEND/ CHRIST VERSUS WARHOL on Mercury Records (TEAR 5). This is one, or two records depending on how you want to look at it. Basically two copies of the same record have been pressed, but then when the ink injection printed labels have been printed on, two disks have been pressed together, leaving the inner two sides without silver printing, therefore one of thesedisks has the ink printed on the A but not the B, the other has it printed on the B but not the A! I only ever came across this once before with a copy of a SECRET AFFAIR single, and that bid up quite high. The very strange thing about this is, you'd think 2 records coming off the same machine and into the next one next to each other would have the same matrix numbers, well that's where you'd be wrong! What I'llcallthe first disc (the one with ink on the A-side) is an A1/B2 pressing, whilst the second disc is an A2/B1 pressing. Ifind this very strange indeed! Anybody else?! Forclarity's sake then,any side that has ink on is a -1 matrix whereas any side that has no printing is a -2. I currently have 3 other signed THE TEARDROP EXPLODES records listed too, so please check them out also!

LABELS: EX+, In fairness it woukd take some doing to damage these injection printed "labels", but this record has only been lightly played and these "labels" are top notch, with no signs of turntable contact!
VINYL: VG, Having been stored next to each other all this time, without a sleeve between them to protect them from each otherthey both have surface marks, but play great. Still I'd say most people who wanted this, would want it more as a collection oddity piece!
SLEEVE: VG-, Little tatty, edge-wear to the point it's worn through in a few places, a bit of ring-wear, and a previous owner's name written neatly also, it would be worth upgrading this sleeve, but I thought I'd offer these discs up in their original housing!
