On offer here is a very rare original 1965 Australian promo Beat pressing of The Sunsets titled.
1. "Bye bye goodbye/It's the end", the record is in VG++ condition with a sample sticker and a release date stamp on the labels.
Originally formed in Newcastle as The Four Strangers, The Sunsets were one of the finest and most successful bands to emerge from there. They played at all the top venues like Star Club, Sunset Disco and Surf City and recorded soundtracks for the 'Life In The Sun' and 'Hot Generation' films.
They later relocated to Sydney and Bjerre, Davidson and Zytnick continued their careers in the superb Tamam Shud.
Compilation coverage has so far included: Hot Generation on Nat Young's History Of Australian Surfing and Ugly Things, Vol. 2; I Want Love on Ugly Things, Vol. 1; and When I Found You on So You Want To Be A Rock And Roll Star, Vol. 1 and So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star (3-CD).
This record was the groups first and is near impossible to find (FIRST COPY I'VE FOUND IN 20 YEARS)and comes in a Leedon sleeve.
