Description

TITLE/ARTIST: This rare and highly collectible LP -- from 1967 -- by the very popular '60's group, The Standells, is on the original Tower Label -- in super nice condition. The album is entitled, "Try It"--and features the controversial title song that was "banned" by many radio stations back then (amazingly). It is also one of four nicely conditioned -- and rare -- Standells LPs I've listed in this week's auctions as well as other great LPs by Jack Scott, The Spaniels, The Sandals, The Premiers, early Paul Revere and Raiders and more. As mentioned already, in my opinion this LP is in super nice overall condition, and it features 10 great songs from that time, including the title song, "Try It", plus "St James Infirmary" and "Riot On Sunset Strip" among others. In my opinion, the condition of both the vinyl and the jacket are very, very good, so please view the pics below, read about the LP's condition, and judge it all for yourself. LABEL INFO: It is on the original Tower Label, ST-5098, in original STEREO. I don't even any spindle marks around the center circle which indicates to me that it was played quite sparingly---or maybe not even at all.  VINYL INFO: The vinyl is extremely shiny, clean and nice, with nothing in need of a mention at all. JACKET INFO: The jacket is also in very good overall shape--I can see no real serious flaws, although there is some small amount of scuffing in a couple places along the seams and some super light signs of early ringwear in the very dark areas---nothing too serious at all, in my opinion. So, please view the pictures below and judge everything for yourself. INTERESTING FACTS: You just don't see these early and rare 1950-60's LPs out there very much anymore, espiecally in this kind of shape, so please have at it. In addition, I have listed---and will continue to do so---many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my personal collection, and there are many more records of all genres to get to yet. Many of these still to be listed records are quite rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in super good shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! When attempting to view my pictures, please be a little patient as they do take a few seconds to fully focus---but they do come in. And, if anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond!   POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail plus Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$16.00 for the 1st LP and then just $5.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records  that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come!
