Description
PURCHASES MADE BEFORE 12/15 SHOULD GET THERE IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS.
THIS IS A RARE 1ST PRESSING, IN STEREO!!!
Very nice copy of C/W legend Johnny Horton's debut album on Columbia Records in 1959, containing perhaps his two biggest hits-"The Battle of New Orleans" and "When It's Springtime in Alaska," along with ten other great tracks.
The record (Columbia, CS 8167, "6-eye," matrices 1A/1A) is in gorgeous condition with just a faint bit of surface noise and no real scratches. The jacket has some surface wear (slight "ringing" on the front cover), a 5-inch split in the top edge and a tiny one on the bottom and a nice, clean spine. The inner sleeve is original.
We accept all reasonable offers...our prices are not written in stone.
All of our records are "visually graded" and we also double check the sound and clean them when we write our descriptions. If an album is still sealed when we offer it here on ebay, we let it remain sealed in order for the buyer to have the opportunity to open it when they receive it. Only records that are still sealed get a Mint (M) grading for both the record and the jacket; if the shrink wrap is open or gone, yet the record is in an unopened poly sleeve, the record will get an M and the jacket will get an NM, or Near Mint.
