Description
Original & rare Dutch press 1985 12” vinyl five track single in awesome condition, played very little in its lifetime. I’ve just played it for the first time in probably 30/35 years or so, decent loud press, sounds stunning. The five tracks, The Headmasters Ritual, Nowhere Fast (both recorded October 1984), Stretch Out And Wait, Shakespeare’s Sister (both recorded January 1985) and Meat Is Murder (recorded live Oxford Apollo March 1985).

Vinyl: Plays back EXCELLENT! No heavy noise, no heavy clicks, no heavy pops. A really decent press. Visually graded at EX+. Incredibly clean! Would have graded the vinyl NM but for just one obvious yet non audible hairlines on side A under natural light. A couple further light hairline surface marks visible under bright light where the vinyl has been in and out of its sleeve. No deep surface marks. The record has retained its beautiful sheen. Clean labels, no visible scuffing around centre hole from the turntable spindle.
Cover: Unfortunately the cover has storage wear. Visually graded at VG. Although ageing wear is visible, nothing is detrimental to its overall appearance. The most notable wear is a torn/repaired bottom left corner due to fluid spillage plus creasing to the laminate close to the spine and top edge. A few indentation marks in the laminate. Very slight ring wear (you need to look hard). Colours are clear and vivid. Inner, original white paper sleeve in excellent condition.

➡️Record grading:
Near Mint (NM) - The record has been on a shelf between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete.
Excellent (E) - Same but I'd tolerate very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or tiny signs of use generally.
Very Good Plus (VG+) - A few further faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle.
Very Good (VG) - It's seen a bit of life, but is still usable. Light pops and clicks, an edge split, light visible scratches. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is visually and audibly USED.
