Description
Here we have a one of a kind, never seen before or listed possibly one of the rarest Smiths LP's due to the Mis press of the Front Cover... Firstly it looks amazing with the lovely arch of the green into the grey of the embossed Seafoam lettering of THE SMITHS at the top of the cover. This particular obscurity isn't listed in Record Collector, they have the Green seafoam sleeve and the grey one but this unseen until now! A unique ONE OFF Gem has popped it's head up and I would suggest this is the rarest known Lp cover of any Smiths Albums due to being the only known copy ... it's some of the Rarest Cover of any Smiths LP i've came across and to any Smiths Collectors this will be an absolute holy grail for them! Because there are only a few in existence which have this unique one off cover due to an ink failure in the pressing plant this is a one off and never to be replicated.
This is a first pressing UK press with the ROUGH 106 and barcode on the top right of the rear of the sleeve. The front lettering is embossed like all the 1st UK pressing and the sleeve is in EX condition. The Vinyl condition is G+ but this auction is not about the vinyl and a first pressing of the vinyl can be easily allocated, this is about all about the super rare sleeve! Again this is the only known copy of 'Strangeways, Here We Come' to have been seen or listed in any site or discography....don't hesitate to contact me with any questions etc.
