VERY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE 3LP SET
MATRIX NUMBERS: Record 1 side a (dawn) - HUTTLP 30 A-1-1-1
side b (tea time) - HUTTLP 30 B-1-1-2
Record 2 side c (dusk) - HUTTLP 30 C-1-1-1
side d (twilight) - HUTTLP 30 D-1-1-1
Record 3 side e (midnight) - HUTTLP 30 E-1-1-2

VINYL RECORDS - VISUAL & AUDIO: NM-/NM : Visually all three records appear to be in near mint condition - there is a very light mark on record 3 side b (twilight) but absolutely no affect on sound quality. There is also a very slight warp on play to the outer edge of Record 1 (dawn/teatime) but once again there is absolutely no affect on sound quality at all - in fact all three records sound superb hence the near mint grade for audio quality. Before compact discs came along and vinyl was king - many new LP's had a slight warp.
OUTER GATE-FOLD COVER: EX++ : A very tiny bit of corner-wear and that's it really - again overall the gate-fold sleeve is in excellent shape - graded as very strong excellent but very close to near mint.
INNER SLEEVES: EX : Original plain paper/polythene inner sleeves.
BOOKLET WITH LYRICS : EX+ : Appears to be in excellent condition - a strong excellent grade
A very rare copy of THE SMASHING PUMPKINS' hard-to-find record, MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS on three pieces of great sounding vinyl records. An original numbered pressing and a track listing that is better than the CD release. A highly collectable LP set that not only looks great but sounds great too - this was a joy to listen too.
Vinyl Record Grading System
So as to try and avoid disappointment I play all records before listing them and attempt to grade them as conservatively as I can using the following guide - however please remember that some vinyl records regardless of condition can still have an occasional tiny tic :-
MINT (M):
The record itself will be unplayed and in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster will be in perfect condition.
NEAR MINT (NM):
The record will appear like new but will be known to have been played before because it has come from
a previous owner and the record will therefore be assumed to have been played by them - the label might have some light spindle marks. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster will be in near perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX):
The record might show some signs of having been played before and there may be some infrequent light surface/background noise and/or some occasional light ticks during playback but there will be very little lessening in sound quality and overall still a great copy. The cover and packaging will have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG):
The record will obviously have been played many times before, it may have some obvious light background noise (crackles/ticks) but no real major deterioration in sound quality, despite any noticeable surface marks or the occasional light scratch. The cover will have normal wear and tear also on any extra items, without any major defects, is also acceptable.
GOOD (G):
The record will have been played so much that the sound quality will have noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some
distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents will suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
For any records that appear to fall between the above grades a plus (+) or minus (-) sign will be added to try and provide a more accurate grading.
