A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS FIRST ISSUE 1979 PUNK/ROCK ISLAND RECORD LABEL ALBUM RELEASE FROM, THE SLITS WITH INNER SLEEVE.

I have covered over the ladies breasts with loose pieces of card.

  The Slits were a British Punk and Post-Punk Band. The quartet was formed in 1976 by members of the bands The Flowers of  Romance and The Castrators. The members were Ari Up (Ariane Forster) and Palmolive (Paloma Romero, who played briefly with Spizzenergi and later left to join The Raincoats), with Viv Albertine and Tessa Pollitt replacing founding members Kate Korus and Suzy Gutsy. Palmolive was replaced by the drummer Budgie (Peter Clarke), formerly of The Spitfire Boys and later of Siouxsie and the Banshees. Although not all line-ups were exclusively female, the three main female members appeared on most record covers and publicity photos, and the group was generally presented as a female band.

  The LP is is in beautiful Mint Minus condition, beautiful labels and vinyl to both sides, with just a couple of faint signs of play to each centre spindle hole.

  Side 1 matrix are ILPS 9573 A-1U and Side 2: ILPS 9573 B-1U.
  Side 1 also shows, DEAD AT THE CONTROL And side 2 shows, AH  IT DAT.

  The LP plays superb throughout  all tracks without faults.

  The original card inner sleeve which features cartoons by, Brian Gaylor and Viv is in immaculate Mint Minus condition, no seam splits, tearing or creases.

  And is housed in its original and superb laminated picture sleeve which is in Near Mint condition, glossy to the front and back with just a couple of tiny corner bumps.

  A beautiful example of this original UK 1979 album release from, The Slits.
