This record is a cornerstone of the doo-wop era. first edition- it features the white label deep groove pressing from 1959
LP-3000
This original Calico LP-3000 pressing presents beautifully and plays with exceptional clarity.
Jacket is in excellent shape, with strong edges and vibrant artwork—please refer to the photos for close-ups of the corners. The spine is solid and intact, with just a touch of texture along the top edge. Importantly, there are no stickers, writing, or markings on either side of the cover.
I’ve graded this as EX (Excellent)—my personal standard for Excellent leans slightly above Near Mint Minus. It’s a clean, well-preserved copy.
The vinyl itself is heavy and glossy, with a small surface scuff on Side Two around the 3 o’clock position, affecting tracks 3 and 4. The mark is mostly in the dead wax and does not impact playback—the record plays through smoothly with no skips or distortion.
The labels and spindle hole are pristine, showing virtually no signs of use—bright, crisp, and free from wear.
This is a standout copy for any collector or doo-wop enthusiast looking to own a piece of vocal harmony history.
