On the 4th of June 1976 unpstairs at the LESSER FREE TRADE HALL in MANCHESTER

took place one of the most important rock concerts ever to happen on planet Earth.

Walk around Manchester on any boring Saturday night , and you will have no trouble finding

1 or 2 million Mancunians who will sware they were at that gig, even if they were not born . This gig

 was so important it prompts the most ludicrous of claims .

HOWEVER , my best mate Mowey aka Mowet aka IAN MOSS was there, and I can proove it to all of you !

Ive asked Mowey about it a thousand times, I simply love to hear his tale, and for those of you who would

like to think that , had you been old enough, to have been there , you would have been there ....I have no doubt,

that YOU WOULDNT . That concert was a gig for missfits dropouts and square pegs in round holes .

The like Mowey has always been .

Musically speaking though hes always been out and beyond ahead of the crowd.

And that night was no different for Mowet is one of the SUPERARE who attended

totally alone !

ITV were so amazed at the number of people who claim to be at this gig they made a

documentary about it and tracked down all 45 people who actually attended.

I SWARE I WAS THERE . The TV documentary . If you fast forward to 12 min 50 seconds

 you can see my mate Mowey telling part of his story, FF again to 17 min 32 to hear him make

the best comments anybody made in the whole documentary .

"When the Pistols came on I just thought the music was Magnificent" .

This may seem now like, well, not much . THIS IS TESTAMENT that Mowey was TRULY

ready for the Sex Pistols. He had been listening to The Stooges Funhouse LP since 1972 ,

 and that is what MADE HIM READY !

 You can also here people like Peter Hook and Tony Willson saying stuff like

"they sounded awful, like just noise" .

To me people like that got lucky that night and unlike Mowey wernt ready....

After the gig Mowey went out and formed his band the Hamsters , although they never got their due

sucess they did make the best Punk Record ever , the totally unbroadcastable "IM A CUN__"  .

Go and see his new band Kill Pretty if you shout loud enough they will do IM A CUN_.

Many of you will remember a few years ago I sold Johnny Rottens T Shirt for Mowey .

Yep , Mowey go to go out on a night on the town in his hometown of Manchester with

the Sex Pistols after meeting them in Rafters nightclub when they were there to watch

Mclarens other band THE ONLY ONES .

Steve Jones was wearing Johnny Rottens T Shirt and Steve wanted to swap T Shirts with Mowey who was

then wearing his new Fred Perry ( remember them?).

So a few years later and with Mowey down on his luck , he asked me to sell the T Shirt on eBay ,

rightly so it sold magnificently ,sadly though the English rock antique sits encased in glass in a

 New York record shop besides Moweys hand written letter of his night out with the Sex pistols.

Now Mowey has had to give up work to loose a serious amount of weight to have a heart opperation

so this fabulous item here ,one of the last of his prised memories of that era, has to go.

This Item was touched by greatness by another talented hand and at the time no one had the

slightest idea .....

When Mowey bought this great item from Virgin Records on Lever street Manchester ( remember that ? ).

He brought it home and his younger brother Neil asked could he have the poster for his wall .

Of couse said Mowey and gave the poster to Neil who promptly pinned it on his wall .

Then Neil Joined his first band , The Frantic Elevators with Mowey`s and Neil`s  mutual friend called

Mick Hucknall . A couple of years later Neil and Mick Penned the Now Classic Holding back the Years .

So again this great item was touched by real musical talent .

Condition .

Pretty magnificent throughout . Vinyl has the highest lustre sheen indicating none or very little play .

Labels and sleeve exellent throughout !The spine it totally intackt .

Even has the sticker still attached and the cellophane (opened by his then girlfriend) still

tightly around the sleeve !

An added super bonus has to be the correct inner sleeve with the correct patents number 1,125,555 .

The LP looks totally unplayed . As close to mint as you will ever see !

I asked Mowey about this as I can testify he is not one to look after his records .

 He said "Alan by the time this LP was released I was boring fast of the Pistols ,

because of the court case due to the title of the LP , the release date was delayed

untill November 77 ,  think about that for a minute ...that is almost almost 1978 ,

approaching 2 years since he first saw the band ! he said I had seen the band by now,

4 times , had all the singles, plus if you knew someone who worked at Virgin Records they

would sell you the Bootleg Spunk from under the counter so id also  been playing that for a while"

so I never really played the LP neither did Neil who got his own

copy but Neil got no poster or single with his !

Thats testament to Bransons entrapauermanship,selling boots under the counter.

Sir Richard , how could you? That old Punk adage " Never trust a Hippie" surely rings true !

Mowey went on, the poster went on ourkids wall for a few years but said Neil did play the single quite a lot

because neither brother had Submission on either of their LPs .

So there it is , and here it is .

A trues rock artifact in magnificent condition with provinance from one of Manchesters finest .

Ian Moss , Mowey , Moet lead singer of the Hamsters .

As you can see in the listing Mowey said his brother played the single a lot .

Obviously Neil played his records with a lot more care than his brother . As I can

report the Submission single is in no less than Mint Minus condition , there is no evidence

that the record has ever been played .

Ive just met with Mowey and he has gladly agreed not only to do the write up, pre-mentioned

as to exactly what made him attend this ground breaking rock concert . He has also agreed to

do a complete and full account, of his night out in his hometown of Manchester, with his then

favorite band, The Sex Pistols . As ive mentioned,he did this when I sold Johnny Rottens T Shirt,

obtained from Steve Jones on that very night , (what a story) and I can promise the winner it is the

stuff dreams are made of. So I think that is a huge added feature to this already great item !

  As you can all see, this item is getting moderately respectable traffic and of course this will bring

Mowey phoned last night and said he had bought some lovely high quality paper

to write his memoirs about the concert and his night out with the Sex Pistols he says

if the winner frames them correctly they would look great and also really enhance this great item.

God Save the Queen for the pricely sum of £125 and I couldnt bring myself to pay what was

back then 5 weeks wages in my crap job. I got my next chance in 1990 at £2,500 . By this time the

value of this Sex Pistols item was getting up for 10 weeks wages in an even crappier job.

Ive seen 3 sell over the last 3 years for over £12,000. So ive accepted I will never own it.

I have no doubt in my mind that the Sex Pistols records are growing in terms of colectabillity

faster and higher than anybody`s, even the Beatles. Believe me , ive been kicking myself over

 this ever since.
