The SENATORS.
THIS IS THE FIRST EVER RECORDING OF JOHN BONHAM
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ON DIAL RECORDS HAD THEY NOT GONE BROKE BEFORE THE RELEASE.
IT WOULD HAVE HAD THE CAT No 7001 from 1964.
TO QUOTE Bill Ford, who played bass guitar in The Senators and plays on this record.

How I came by this? Well, In the mid 1960s I went out with a then young lady who worked in the music press, I have always loved all music and have now collected records for over 50 years, so she was all a bit of a bonus, lots of free gigs!! She also gave me a lot of Promo and Demo records, some very unusual, but I think this is the most unusual! I now feel its time to move them on to others who will enjoy them as much as I have.
THE LABELS ARE STRANGE, THEY APPEAR MOTTLED, BUT IF YOU MOISTEN YOUR FINGER AND PLACE IT ON THE LABEL IT WILL REVEAL A “TOP RANK” REVERSED LABEL? IS THIS WHAT IT’S LIKE BEFORE THE WHITE LABEL GOES ON?
This record has a good shine with just a few light marks, it played really well on my Ipro deck there were no clicks, jumps or sticks,
I found the sound clear and good.
Please be aware this may not be the case on better equipment.
This record will be securely & well packed in layers of heavy-duty card and wrapped in heavy weight paper to avoid damage.
I HAVE A HUGE RECORD COLLECTION AND I AM NOW SLOWLY SELLING THEM ON AS MY GRAND KIDS HAVE NO INTEREST- IPODS?? PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE OTHERS ON NOW, MANY MORE TO COME.

SADLY UNLIKE THE DEALERS, PRIVATE SELLERS HAVE NO ACCESS TO THE DISCOUNTED COURIERS AND PACKING MATERIALS, WE ALSO HAVE TO PAY A 10% COMISSION TO EBay ON OUR POST AND PACKING CHARGE. IT TAKES ME ½ AN HOUR TO PACK A RECORD TO MY HIGH STANDARD, I ALWAYS POST WITHIN 24 HOURS USING 1ST CLASS, I BELIEVE MY P/P COST ARE FAIR.
