Sky Saxon mentioned this track in an interview with Mike Stax that
appeared in third issue of Ugly Things, which came out in 1984. Quoting directly
from the interview:

"A lot of my songs people don't know about, like I did a song called 'A Streak
To The Sun.' I made that record at Columbia Studios, Columbia were trying to
sign me up. I had about thirty bottles with me, and I didn't wear gloves at
first, but I wore golves after I started bleeding, you know? While I was singing
I was smashing the bottles, you can hear the glass smashing! I didn't want
anything that was dubbed in or anything, so I was doing the real thing. There I
was standing in the booth, I had all these piles of glass around me, and I was
bleeding! But the song is great! It sounds just like you're going into the sun
on a silver streak."
