Condition (Cover / Record): VG++/s1:VG+,s2:VG++ (cover is overall fine, wraparound has wear on the back side, disc is overall fine as well, but has a few inaudible surface markings on side one, and plays with occasional background noise... not especially unusual for a Folkways LP) includes printed 6-page foldout transcription, which is near mint

Description: This is an overall decent copy of an early LP issued by Folkways, which describes and demonstrates various aspects of sound, and how it is perceived by the human ear.
Additional Info: Great and interesting recording produced by Bell Telephone Laboratories in the late 50's and issued by Folkways shortly after. One of the most educational records Folkways made, this album serves to explain the mechanics of how the human ear hears frequency, pitch, intensity, the Doppler Effect, etc. Lots of different sound effects are used to demonstrate the particular phenomena that is being described, making this an interesting listen, even just as background noise. Excellent!
