This is a SEALED GERMAN copy of The Rolling Stones "Songs From The Rolling Stones Movie GIMME SHELTER". It is a reissue of the original 1971 album, but because its sealed, I've been unable to find the year it came out. It is NOT a new reissue, I've had it for years. The "Gimme Shelter" album never was a Soundtrack to the movie, strangely enough, though it was an official release. Side One is composed of Studio Tracks (Jumping Jack Flash, Love In Vain, Honky Tonk Women, Street Fighting Man, Sympathy For The Devil, and Gimme Shelter - what an awesome track list!). Side Two IS live, but it's not from the movie, it's actually cuts from the US version of their live release "Got LIVE If You Want It" from 1966 (Under My Thumb, Time Is On My Side, I've Been Lovin' You Too Long (To Stop Now), Fortune Teller, Lady Jane, and I Can't Get No Satisfaction). All of these live tracks were recorded at the Royal Albert Hall. Weird, but due to the issues they had at their Altamont (California) Free Concert, it's understanding. I'm sure they didn't want to capitalize on the whole scene, the death of concert goer Meredith Hunter, and the drama with the Hells Angels, and their performance was interrupted so many times. The movie itself was more of a documentary on the hopes of The Stones in creating their own Woodstock, the fall of the Summer of Love, and the impact that the concert ultimately had on the Stones. Very good movie about a very bad scene. This is a pretty scarce copy, especially sealed. It has 4 stickers on the front: "Import", a small price tag ($9.99), "Direct Import Factory Sealed Made In Germany Telefunken" (There's also a Telefunken sticker on the back bottom left corner under the shrink wrap), and a music store tag from "Vibrations". Very cool period pieces. The cover itself is completely sealed except for a split in the middle of the back in the shape of a . There are a couple of bends in the cover, which is usually caused from the very light card stock used in the Euro countries. Check the photos, the most noticeable is the one on the back left bottom, and there's a couple of smaller ones on the back top right corner. There's some minor corner rounding and a bumped bent corner front bottom right. Super clean and legible spine. This is a great copy of a classic scarce LP that's still sealed.
