Description

A superb example of the classic album by THE ROLLING STONES titled “STICKY FINGERS”, Catalogue Number COC 59100. This is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st PRESSING on the ROLLING STONES LABEL. The matrix numbers are COC 59100 A4 and COC 59100 B4.

Also included is a colour photocopy of a letter by Mick Jagger which was taken from the Sunday Times magazine a few weeks ago. The letter is written on Rolling Stones Ltd headed paper, and is to Andy Warhol commissioning him to design the Sticky Fingers sleeve (see image below) - an interesting enhancement to the LP!!

The ANDY WARHOL designed ZIP SLEEVE is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and would be hard to improve upon. The die cut belt and metal zip, so often damaged on this fragile cover, are VIRTUALLY UNMARKED, with just the slightest crease on the thin cut flap above the belt buckle (see close up image). The front and back covers are in EXCELLENT unspoiled condition. The back cover has the usual small area of marking (surface depressions) where the zip on the neighbouring LP pressed into it during the initial packaging into boxes. The edges are nice and STRAIGHT with very little sign of wear, and the corners SHARP with just minor rubbing. The spine is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with all text CLEARLY LEGIBLE. There are NO rips, stickers or writing!!

Complete with CARD INSERT which is in UNMARKED CONDITION, and the original plain white inner sleeve.

The VINYL is in STUNNING CONDITION with only a few very light paper scuff type surface marks which do not affect play. Critical visual grading EXCELLENT++

The matt yellow ROLLING STONES LABELS are also EXCELLENT with just very light spindle marks evident.

A critical play-grading on my REGA turntable showed all frequencies to be CLEAR and SHARP. The record plays BRILLIANTLY with NO skips or sticks, just the odd click and occasional light crackle.

This record is from my own personal collection. I take a lot of care when advertising records - and will NOT overgrade!! I only sell records that I would be happy to receive myself. Please check out my 100% POSITIVE feedback.
