Description
The Rolling Stones 1st press LP.
Record no: MONO LK 4605, titled the Rolling Stones, songs are: Route 66, I just want to make love to you, Honest I do, I need you baby, Now I've got a witness, Little by little, I'm a king bee, Carol, Tell me (2.52 version), Can I get a witness, You can make it if you try and Walking the dog. Dated 1964.
The outer laminated flipback sleeve is in very good condition does have quite a few laminate creases to the front, some light ringwear and some wear to the opening edge, the spine is still readable with some little creasing, the rear of this sleeve is again very good, with a name written across the top left corner, some general grubbiness, some ringwear and a small tear to the opening edge.
The vinyl is in very good condition does have quite a few surface marks/scratches and some scuffs, I have played this and despite these marks this plays right through both sides without sticking of jumping however there are some crackles and some clicks mainly on quiter parts and in between tracks and this skips ever so slightly (hardly noticable) on Tell me but not on any other track and this still sounds really nice when played, the unboxed Decca labels are again very good with side 2 having a small mark where a sticker has been removed and side 1 with a small initial sticker still attaced, these are still both clean and readable but do show a fair bit of spindle wear, and this comes in it's original red mono diecut polylined inner which is excellent........This is the rare and sought after 1st pressing of this LP with the short version of Tell me (2.52) and the side 2 matrix no: XARL 6272 1A and this has I need you baby on the track listing to the rear.....................Overall a played and still playable VG example of this rare LP........................I grade as accurately as possible and this is the reason my feedback is so good!!.........Bid with confidence....
