Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Beatles – related and Rolling Stones records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare U.K. MONO pressing of The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed on the RED BOXED Decca label, cat. no. LK 5025.
It’s a bit hard to grade this record. Visually there are lots of hairlines and some marks. Side 1 has a nasty scratch on “Gimme Shelter” which causes my needle to jump about 10 times. The rest of side 1 plays with some light crackling and there are two tiny sounding scratches, one in “Country Honk”, the other one at the end of “Let It Bleed”. Side 2 plays with some crackling, but there are no sounding scratches, no skipping or sticking. To be on the safe side, I’ll grade side 1 G (good) and side 2 VG (Very Good) minus.
The cover is in G (good) condition, there is a spine split of approx 8 centimetres, the back has the previous owner’s name written in small biro and there is some rubbing and grubbiness. The opening edge has some feathering. Unfortunately the original inner sleeve is missing, this record comes with a plain white inner sleeve.
Although very beat up, this rare MONO copy of The Rolling Stones’ Let It Bleed album is very hard album to find. This copy would be perfect as a collection filler until a better one comes along. Happy Bidding!
